<Leuning></Reanne>
Reanne Leuning has loved writing and playing with languages ever since she was a small child. She found her first inspiration in the many trips she took around the world with her father, who worked as a chief engineer on board of large container ships. Her love for art started right back in her earliest childhood as well: her mother is an artist and was the first to introduce her to the world of visual arts, literature and music. Soon, she started to arrange her life around these passions. She studied German Language and Literature and Communication and Information Studies at Groningen University in the Netherlands, and started her professional life in the cultural departments of the Dutch Embassies in Athens, Greece and Vienna, Austria. After that, she worked as a translator at the European Commission in Brussels and for Philips Speech Recognition Systems Austria and as an editor at the Austrian press agency Pressetext. Since 2006 Reanne Leuning serves as Associate Director at Art&Idea in Vienna.
