During Mexico City’s art fair MACO 04, more than thirteen thousand visitors flooded the exhibition space. This time, owing to the quality of exhibitors, the artists presented and the presence of some of the biggest international galleries, the leap has been made from the local to the international scene. National and international collectors, museum directors, gallery owners, curators, artists, architects, students and other art aficionados came together in this forum, encouraging art collecting in Mexico. Art&Idea was present with the installation Inflación (Inflation) by Máximo González, amongst others. González inflated thousands of silver balloons, each with a design that made them resemble a Mexican 10 centavos coin. The silver globes could be seen all over the fair.
